Heatherbrook School Entrance Installation

During January 2013 I was invited to take residence in a Leicester primary school for a week and work with 150 school pupils, creating artwork for their new school entrance extension. Across the week I worked with every child under the theme landscape, focusing on nature and outdoors. Amongst the sessions I introduced activities around team building, discussion and presentation.

Each child had the chance to make an individual piece either through felting, tie dye, weaving or ice drawing, which became part of a larger collaborative display for all to enjoy.

“The children at Heatherbrook had a fantastic week learning new skills in art. They worked in a fun and creative environment, which was brilliantly facilitated by Bryony. The finished display is wonderful and children and staff cannot wait for her to return and work with us again!” - Headteacher
